In 2025, if you’re a personal trainer and you’re not showing up online, you’re invisible.
And if potential clients can’t see you, learn from you, or connect with you, they’ll train with someone who does show up.

So how do you stay consistent with social media and start gaining momentum on their.. plan your filming and posting in advance!

Block out one morning or afternoon per week in your diary as ‘content filming’.

Use this time to:

  • Film workouts
  • Plan topics and ideas
  • Record short educational videos
  • Capture behind-the-scenes footage
  • Batch story content like training tips, lifestyle clips, Q&As, and more

This gives you enough content to post every day without the pressure of filming off the cuff.

But it’s not just about posting for the sake of it — it’s about posting with purpose. That’s where the 3 E’s come in:

  1. Entertainment
People scroll to be distracted or inspired so give them a reason to stop.
This could be fun reels, trending sounds with your own twist, behind the scenes moments, or transformation stories, day in the life type reels etc. Show personality and let people see the human behind the business.
  2. Educational
This is where you show your value.
Create short clips that teach something: form tips, training myths, nutrition basics, recovery advice. People follow those who teach them something useful.
  3. Engagement
If people feel a connection with you, they’re far more likely to work with you.
Use polls, questions, story replies, and share relatable content. Get your followers engaging with you!

You don’t need thousands of followers, just the right ones that believe in your ideology that you can begin to build trust with.

The bottom line is that if people don’t know you, they won’t train with you.

Start planning.

Start filming.

Stop caring what others will think! You don’t want people like that around anyway as if they don’t like seeing you post about your business then they will have a negative impact on you whether you’re posting or not, and what’s more important? Impressing people that don’t like you or gaining clients from a community that believes in you?
